Midden in het Museumpark Landgoed Oranjewoud staat het Museum Belvédère, een ontwerp van architect Eerde Schippers.
Het is het eerste museum voor 20e eeuwse en hedendaagse kunst in Friesland, en de vaste collectie bestaat voornamelijk uit schilderijen van belangrijke Friese en aanverwante kunstenaars, die nu niet of heel weinig in het openbaar worden getoond.
Het historische landgoed, eind zeventiende eeuw aangelegd als zomerverblijf voor de Friese Nassau’s (Stadhouder Willem Frederik), werd opnieuw ingericht naar een ontwerp van landschapsarchitect Michael van Gestel.
